Production Monitoring and Tracking
Oceana can provide comprehensive production monitoring and shipment tracking communications between manufacturers and their customers that sees a product monitored from the moment it is identified on an assembly line to the time it is delivered to its end purchaser—and all this in real time. The system is capable of handling millions of units each week and can provide very detailed production reporting. Purchasers of goods manufactured in China, for example, can view the status of their order over the internet anytime they want to. They’ll see if their factory has begun production, how far down the assembly line their product is, if it is waiting on a dock, half-way across the ocean, or landing somewhere in North America. In short, it will tell you your product status anytime anywhere you can connect to the internet.
Our production monitoring and shipment tracking application includes the following functions:
- Web interface reporting shipment status in real time
- Production information offering knowledge about product components and ordering when inventory low
- Data capture marking the start of production
- Labelling of products to confirm status and order information
- Reporting of production information, including employee and station performance
- Warehousing details for product transit and tracking
- Container documentation, including AES compliance, bills of lading, and other customs requirements
- Cellular updates on production status, including failures and deadlines
- GPS updating of sea-borne shipment location
With these products and services, Oceana offers our clients a new and better way of managing their product manufacturing processes and controliing inventory. The ability to see in real time the status of a product while it is being manufactured an ocean away is invaluable to any importing company. It not only dramatically improves communications between manufacturers and their customers but delivers in real time critical information when it's required. Our application can assist in planning sales for seasonal products, make marketing decisions based on real facts and not a voice on a phone an ocean away, providing the kind of certainty today's business climate demands. Our apllication works seamlessly with existing manufacturing and shipping processes and meets new importing protocols developed by countries dealing with homeland security issues. This mitigates the burden on both port authorities and companies whose primary business relies on the importation of goods.
The other important consideration regarding Oceana's production monitoring application is the ability to monitor the various items and ingredients that go into making your product. Given today's headlines concerning contraband ingredients showing up in products like pet food or children's toys, knowing what goes into your product is not just important, it's a responsibility. Our application can be used to keep track of where your product's ingredients are coming from, who specifically filled the order, and any other releveant company information deemed necessary. It in effect traces the blood line of any given product, helping ensure quality control is more than just a phrase but something taken seriuosly and with all of the due regard the words imply.
When absolute certainty of your product’s status and proper manufacturing is demanded this is the solution.
